1966 Convertible
No, it's not dirty... those are racing stripes from the infield of Willow Springs Raceway.

Here are some stats on my car. Unknown configuration originally, now:


The car ran with the LT1 late models at the drag stip, and is tirelimited on the track (been to Willow Springs and Buttonwillow a few times, all high speed events on full road race track). Other than the track, this car has been on the first two VetteNet Southwest trips, and served for about a year as my daily driver.

Best times at the Dragstrip were 14.1 @ 98 mph, but at 2900 feet altitude. Corrected to sea level gives 13.8 @ 101 mph.

No times for Willow Springs or Buttonwillow Raceways (both 2+ miles road race courses), but the car hit 125-130 mph at Willow (instructor driving) at 6200 rpm.

The car was a theft recovery in the early 70's, and I'm sure they put in whatever was available (i.e. dash, engine, tranny, ...).
